I watched this Fox News Insider video on YouTube today and it made me sick. Then I found the Glenn Beck video, and I think Glenn said it all and there is not much more I can say.
I am a Transgender Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS or Mormon). I struggle to find faith as I strive to live my life according the teaching of Jesus Christ, and within the standards of the Gospel. My sincerest prayer is that I might be able to help others as I share my struggles with being transgender.

I'm so torn about Glenn Beck. When he does stuff like this, I admire and respect him for standing up for goodness and right. But lately he's been caught up in the whole political horse race of catching politicians saying silly things and making fun of them for it, or pointing out how terrible they are. It drove him nuts when people did it to Bush, but somehow now it's okay to do when the shoe's on the other foot? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yes. I agree with Glenn that our society needs moral people who stand on their religious principles, and I fear what will happen if too many of us (as a nation) abandon them.
I have never been a big fan of Glenn Beck and haven’t always agreed with what he has had to say, but I did agree with what he had to say in his video. I have said it before and at running the risk of being repetitive I will say it again; there is no room in society for such reckless hatred. This is hatred driven by fear and I would like to re quote Edmund Burke again and say, “No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.” Those two girls acted as animals.
DeleteThis whole thing comes back to why I have created this blog. It is to educate people about being transgender and creating a voice; especially for those who do not have one or fear for their safety. I may sound as a hypocrite, as I am still in hiding and preaching about standing up and becoming a voice. But I have put things in motion and started slowly coming out to people who are close around me. In time I hope to be one of those voices that stand up for the transgender community.
